Closest focus  is 55cm from the outermost edge of the lens, F 8. Focus on the program wheel of the camera.

This is a very luminous lens. Wide open it's fine for F 1.4, there is are shaded upper edges and a little bit of overcast, but it's usable. Stopped down it's sharp and clear. The lens has limited close focussing capablities. It is relatively small, particularly for a F 1.4 lens. It has less yellow tint than the rest of the 1.4 and 1.2 lenses, especially the Tomioka lenses. A nice lens which offers two usable stop more than a standard lens.
