Closest focus
is 22cm from outermost edge of the lens, F 8. Focus on the program wheel of the camera.

A very nice lens, even wide open. At F 3.8 there is just a hint of shaded edges and it's a bit soft, but gets better when stopped down. My lens has some fungus, so part of the softness may be due to this. It has good capabilities of close focussing for such a wide lens. Carefully aligned there is virtually no distortion.
